About the Position
The In-House Linguist is responsible for translating
or editing primarily medical, pharmaceutical, and/or
biology-related documentation. Furthermore, s/he provides
linguistic support to Project Managers and performs
quality sampling as needed.
In addition, s/he establishes and maintains glossary
and terminology guidelines as well as style guides to
assure translation quality. All linguists must be native
speakers of the required target language.
We are currently recruiting In-House Linguists for
the following language pairs:
- English/German
- German/English
- English/French
- French/English
This position is located at our San Francisco headquarters.
Skills/Qualifications
- Must be a proficient native speaker of the target
language
- At least 3 years professional translation experience
- Advanced degree in sciences preferred
- Subject specialist in the life sciences required
- Experience with Translation Memory tools required
- Detail-oriented, conscientious, and technically
savvy
