About the Position
The Multilingual Publishing Specialist works directly
with the Publishing Manager, Publishing Leads and Project
Managers to prepare files for translation, publish the
translated content, and prepare files for final delivery.
This role is designed to support the publishing department
in creating quality, on-time deliverables.
This position is located in the Boulder/Denver area.
Skills/Qualifications
- At least one year experience performing multilingual
publishing tasks
- Must be an experienced user of all major publishing
applications: FrameMaker, InDesign, QuarkXPress, Illustrator,
Photoshop, etc.
- Familiarity working with non-Roman scripts (including
double-byte languages) a plus
- Experience with other DTP applications, online help
systems, translation memory and localization tools
is very helpful
- Working knowledge of both Mac and PC platforms
- Undergraduate degree required
- Good written and spoken English
- Technical problem solver and good attention to detail
- Team player and multi-tasker
- Fluency in or knowledge of foreign languages a strong
plus
