About the Position
The Multilingual Publishing Lead works directly with
the Publishing Manager and Project Managers to prepare
files for translation, assists with scheduling and allocation
of publishing and Quality Assurance resources, as well
as provide final QA on completed work. The Multilingual
Publishing Lead takes the lead on troubleshooting publishing
problems and bottlenecks.
This role is designed to relieve Production staff from
coordination and execution of publishing requirements.
This position is located in the Boulder/Denver area.
Skills/Qualifications
- Must have at least 2-3 years experience executing
multilingual publishing and the ability to manage
outsourced subcontractors
- Must be an advanced user of all major publishing
applications: FrameMaker, InDesign, Quark XPress,
Illustrator and Photoshop
- Knowledgeable user of both PC and Mac platforms
- Undergraduate degree required
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Technical problem solver and multi-tasker
- Organized with an attention to detail is a must
- Team player with an ability to work independently
with limited supervision
- Familiarity working with non-Roman scripts (including
double-byte languages) a plus
- Experience with other DTP applications, online help
systems, translation memory and localization tools
is very helpful
- Fluency in or knowledge of foreign languages a strong
plus
