About the Position

The Associate Project Manager (APM) is responsible for a variety of localization projects and supports Project Managers in managing and developing client accounts. In this role, the APM performs day-to-day project activities and ensures that all production and project objectives are met.

The APM oversees Project Coordinators and is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction on an ongoing basis. In addition, s/he may collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide input and feedback for continuous improvement of processes, services, and client relationships.

Successful candidates will have 1-3 years working experience in translation and localization project management, including quality assurance, customer service, and desktop publishing. Furthermore, candidates must show good project management skills and self-motivation as well as work under low supervision.

This is an in-office position located in San Francisco, California.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Experience in the localization and translation industry required
  • Completed four-year college/university degree required
  • Fluent communication skills of written and verbal English required
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Experience in managing client accounts and relationships highly desired
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Strong customer service awareness and skills desired
  • Quality focus and eye for details desired
  • Cultural awareness desired
  • Verbal and written fluency in at least one foreign language a plus
  • Experience with TRADOS and other CAT tools a plus
  • Experience with desktop publishing applications (e.g., Word, FrameMaker, etc.) a plus
  • Knowledge of internationalization and globalization principles a plus
  • Able to work independently (under low supervision) or in a team
  • Able to process multiple projects simultaneously
